In our system we've talked in Learning Technology for a long time about "just-in-time" learning. We'd once used the ICDL (International Computer Driver's Licence), but since it didn't meet an immediate need, a lot was forgotten - a bit like a lot of my high school maths! At our school this year, I've offered Learning 2.0, a PD program based on the original from a library system in the US. The thing that's made it good so far is that we've managed to incorporate many of the 8 factors. We're still getting there on the 4 computers, though. It was a good look as it went down the trough on this side and into the bottle on the other. I always found it amusing because as a boy growing up in Derbyshire, I remember the old men in the pub urinal saying "Eebygum - you don't buy it duyu- yer just rent it!"
